after downloading the app, I get a basic internet page, not the Firefox for Android Start Page (Awesome) page shown in all the tutorials. Why?
I have a Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 10.1. I downloaded the Firefox for mobile app via Google Play. The Firefox web page that appeared on the screen when the download finished was a basic internet screen. It is NOT the Awesome Page described in all the tutorials, help pages, etc. It did have the option to sync with my desktop. I did that and all my bookmarks transferred to the Galaxy. However, I have no menu or other options that are described as part of the Awesome Page. What did I do wrong? How do I get the Awesome Page? When I open some of my bookmarks, those pages come up with pages in a format similar to the Awesome Page.

Hello royalpatent, did you try to open the Awesome Screen by tapping in the Title bar at the top of any page or by tapping the plus + on the Tab ?
see for more info : Use the Awesome screen to search in Firefox for Android - How do I search?
thank you
