Unable to change home page as it keeps going back to ggle.org.uk/firefox-tab.php?ovkwid=ff4. I am currently using firefox 14. I have even tried uninstalling and reinstalling firefox but still not successful.

Change your Home Page

For Advance
Type about:config in the URL accept the warning.
Search > "browser.startup.homepage"
change the value to " www.google.com"

If you do not keep changes after a restart then see:

Start Firefox in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions (Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Appearance).

  • Do not click the Reset button on the Safe mode start window or otherwise make changes.
