This could be one of the weirdest things ever. Even Netflix support is stumped. Note that everything worked fine yesterday.

I tried viewing movies on Netflix (canada). I get taken to a system requirement page. Puzzled, I uninstall and reinstall Silverlight through the microsoft website. It doesn't change a thing. I try uninstalling Silverlight and then getting the Silverlight install prompt through Netflix. It never comes up. I get that crazy idea of trying out to see if I will get the prompt on IE6 (I never update it. Why would I? I have Firefox!). And I get the prompt. It installs just fine and I can view movies there! So I try to see if it would've fixed the Firefox problem.

It hasn't. It's as if their website doesn't recognize Firefox6 as meeting the basic requirements. I called back Netflix at this point and they told me to ask you Mozilla folks to see if you have any idea. I'm absolutely startled. Any idea?

To add a new thing I discovered: I have just downgraded to Firefox 5. Now Netflix works fine.

What on earth is going on?
