Mozilla -- Please Stop Ghosting Me On My Floating Videos Questions Posted
Several questions posted over several years about stopping floating videos. No credible responses. Please STOP ghosting me ! YES or NO ! It's one of the two ! If the competence at Mozilla doesn't exist, intestinal fortitude not present, interest, or there has been a bribe paid to ignore floating video issues -- please let me know ! I can handle the answer -- I promise you. If the answer is NO -- FF is gone on my machines. ONE OR THE OTHER ! Which is it !!! If you don't know -- type nothing and DO NOT waste my time again...

YES.
DO NOT waste my time again...
End of story, goodbye, the end.
OK. Not competent, don't care, or in cahoots with industry. Good enough. Go ahead and delete this post any my support account -- will no longer be needing either...
Step one: You need the ublock origin addon.
Step 2: Add this list to the ublock origin.
I have had UBlock Origin for three years...
And you weren't aware that you could add different filters there?
Indeed ! I add custom filters all the time and have hundreds of them. I have researched this floating video plague for 3+ years and it's gone in circles, leading to the same old Reddit or Kim Kommando posts, whatever. I even assiduously searched for filters for UBlock and only ever found a few specific ones. I tried to adapt the filter code (am an analyst) for filters for specific sites for other sites but filter coding manuals are few and far between and I never found one that was suitable -- very little in fact. I NEVER knew UBlock had an annoyances filter list ! And I never saw it on innumerable searches, else I surely would have clicked on that link. Also went through the same pain with AdBlocker Ultimate with FF. Never found more than very few specific filters for whatever sites, but the Daily Mail comes to mind -- sometimes several videos on that site would fire up and start screaming at you when you loaded the dailymail.co.uk page, and the main story video would detach and start blaring as soon as you started scrolling down. Only found a one-liner specific filter through that and was able to get assistance via your Forum for Config and Policy changes for all other annoyances. This was the last problem I had never solved ! Since I am a sort of go-to guy among our private consultant group for Internet security and browser safety and security, they were always on my back about detaching and floating videos. It was humiliating and embarrassing -- and humbling. I posted about detaching and floating videos under another FF support account -- and several in my extant account. I don't recall ever receiving many answers and usually, none -- like my post prior to this case. As an IT guy I expect you fully understand the agony of such things that go in circles for several years and no amount of research seems to help. I haven't fully tested the annoyances list since I was up most of the evening on other problems but it will get a thorough workout in the near future.
You'll see in my previous posts I wanted to 'standardize' all my FF settings and changes and export the files that would allow others in the group to have the same exact settings as me. Easier to support them that way, blah blah. You know the tune.
You are in good beer and BBQ standing with me ! Redeem coupon any time ! I will tell the others in our WFH group I finally found the right guy who helped solve this. You have made four people I know very happy. SALUT !
