Installed 78.13 on new machine and inbox is missing and can't connect
I am a successful user of Thunderbird on multiple machines. I just installed 78.13 on a new machine. Once installed I copied my profile from my main PC by copying C:\Users\Elliott\AppData\Roaming\Thunderbird and pasting that into the Roaming folder on the other machine. This was all done with Thunderbird closed on both machines. I have a primary AOL/Compuserve account, 3 comcast accounts, and 1 gmail.
I opened TB. For a moment I saw under the Compuserve account something labeled Inbox-1 but then it disappeared. That was odd since on my other machines it is simple labeled Inbox. All of my comcast accounts work fine, as does gmail. When I look under Compuserve all the folders are there except there is no Inbox. On my other PCs everything is fine.
Since I have 2factor on the AOL account it needs to provide me a password to use. I checked and that PW is correct and matches the ones on the other machines.
And I just sent myself some test emails. The small notification box popped up lower right saying the emails had arrived, but there is no Inbox and I cannot access them. Any ideas?

Problem solved! Somehow the inbox was not labeled as a Favorite folder on my new PC and so in the View/Folders/Favorite view it did not show up. I tried a View/Folders/All and found it and labeled it properly. On my others PCs it was labeled a Favorite. Not sure what happened.
Sorry to trouble you all.
you might want to update the authentication method for AOL accounts to oAuth. It has been their preferred method for years now and your 2fa is probably going to stop working as you expect as the yahoo merge progresses.
Matt, thanx much. Yes I upgraded to oAuth sometime back. See my reply to my own comment. I figured out the problem and it had to do with view/folders/favorites. eb
