Google Image Search consistently slows, freezes, then crashes firefox.
This has been an issue since google introduced the automatic loading of the next page of results. I know for a fact that others have this problem. It does not occur in other browsers, such as chrome. It occurs across multiple PCs (More than 10 were tested by myself, both my own, other people's, and public.) Crash reports return [@ EMPTY: no crashing thread identified; corrupt dump ]. It happens in safe mode. It happens on a fresh install of Windows. Everything is up to date. It is solely an issue between Google and Firefox. I have been testing this for a number of months.
I have only tested this on windows 7. I do not have access to other OS at this time.
It starts after you search for a term in Google Images. At first, it's normal, but after the second page loads in Firefox slows down, and starts freezing as you scroll down and will ultimately crash to desktop.
Before you ask, Yes, I have performed all other troubleshooting steps first.
Adding the troubleshooting information would be superfluous at this point, since it isn't just this particular computer.

Hello,
Try disabling graphics hardware acceleration. Since this feature was added to Firefox, it has gradually improved, but there still are a few glitches.
You might need to restart Firefox in order for this to take effect, so save all work first (e.g., mail you are composing, online documents you're editing, etc.).
Then perform these steps:
- Click the orange Firefox button at the top left, then select the "Options" button, or, if there is no Firefox button at the top, go to Tools > Options.
- In the Firefox options window click the Advanced tab, then select "General".
- In the settings list, you should find the Use hardware acceleration when available checkbox. Uncheck this checkbox.
- Now, restart Firefox and see if the problems persist.
Additionally, please check for updates for your graphics driver by following the steps mentioned in the following Knowledge base articles:

Thank you.
