Why does the typing cursor pop up when I click somewhere on a page.
Whenever I click on text on a web page the typing cursor pops up like I can type something into the page, but when I press a key nothing happens. So I am wondering how can I stop this from coming up because it really annoys me. Yay! I found out how to fix this. To fix it the only way I found out was to run firefox in safe mode, and one its started check the fallowing.
"Disable all add-ons", "Reset toolbars and controls", "Reset all user preferences to Firefox defaults", "Restore default search engines",
After doing that click on "Make Changes and Restart" and the run the reguler firefox and the issue should be fixed!
You may have switched on caret browsing: press F7 (on Mac: fn + F7) to toggle
See http://kb.mozillazine.org/Scrolling_with_arrow_keys_no_longer_works
Tools > Options > Advanced : General: Accessibility: [ ] "Always use the cursor keys to navigate within pages"
