I’ll use the example of movie times. In the IMDB app you can pick movie times, that link sends you to my web browser (Firefox) which opens to the homepage, but that’s it. It doesn’t do anything else, it doesn’t even attempt to open a page. It’s been happening for a while. What am I doing wrong g?

Hi Andrew,

I'm sorry to hear that you're having issues with Firefox for iOS. I would first like to ask you some questions in regards to this problem. 1. Is this a fairly new issue, or has it always been like this? 2. Does this occur with other browsers on your device as well? 3. Is this behaviour consistent, does it sometimes redirect you to the right website?

Thanks!

Even the email you just sent to me to confirm my subscription to this subject did not work. It opens Firefox but does not go to the target. The only way is to copy and paste the link

This is a recent problem. Perhaps the last month or two. No email links will fully open in Firefox. They may open the home page or the last page you were on, but will not go to the link page. The only way is to cut and paste

Hi there, Unfortunately, I wasn't able to replicate your issue. However, I did find this bug report which may be related. As Firefox for iOS doesn't have a safe or troubleshoot mode to test in, you may try reinstalling Firefox (delete the app, the install it from the app store). You can also try making sure that the "New tab" and "Homepage" options in the settings are set to "Firefox home".

I apologise for this issue, and hope that it is resolved soon.

Thanks!

Hey Andrew,

It seems that you're impacted by this bug. The good thing is, this should be fixed in the next release (124.1) that's coming this week. So please keep an eye out for an update.

And please, do let me know if the issue persists even after the update. Thanks!
