Google Search bar is too small. How do I widen it?
I had to Restart/Refresh Firefox because I lost my dropdown menus and then the Google Search bar in the right-hand corner disappeared. Somehow I got it to reappear but it's too small. I followed steps in several different posts and can't get Google Search Bar to widen. 1. I placed the mouse pointer between the search bar and the address bar and nothing happened. 2. The following didn't work for me because I can't find the “Use Small Icons” box: "Click the “View” tab on the program menu and choose “Toolbars.” Select “Customize” from the fly-out menu and a “Customize” toolbar screen loads. Deselect the “Use Small Icons” box and click “Done” to enlarge the icons on the Firefox toolbar." I attached a screenshot of what FF Browser looks like.

You placed the search bar on the Bookmarks Toolbar and that make the toolbar shrink to its minimum width. You can place the search bar on the location/address bar and possibly remove the flexible spaces around the bars via customize mode.
You can place the mouse pointer between the location bar and the search bar in normal mode (i.e. not in customize mode) to get a resize pointer that you can drag left or right to change the relative width of both bars (the total length doesn't change). This only works if the two bars are positioned next to each other (order doesn't matter) with no other elements in between them.
If this doesn't work then click Restore Defaults on the Customize palette page.
Drag the search bar next to the address bar in Customize mode.
I am in Firefox Normal Mode and nothing happens when I try to drag the size of the Search Bar. I finally got it to work. I tried some of the suggestions above then I lost my dropdown menus (so I had to restore that). Then I restored defaults in Firefox and I lost the Search Bar. I don't know how I got it to work but it's working now. Thanks a lot.
