I am using the Homepage on Firefox Android to store some very important bookmarks/shortcuts. I only have three.

But whenever I start surfing, the shortcuts get cluttered with all pages I recently visited. I do not want this, also for privacy issues.

In the Homepage screen, I only have shortcuts enabled, e.g. recently visited is 'off'. These would be displayed in a separate section anyhow.

Apparently there used to be a setting under Customize - Home "Show most visited sites", as described here: https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/customize-firefox-home-screen?redirectslug=use-awesome-screen-search-web-bookmarks-and-more#mobile::m108

But Firefox 1.05 does not have that setting and an about:config also seems not available.

Is there anyway to turn this off?

Sorry, I don't have a direct solution. However, I noticed you wrote, "Firefox 1.05" -- did you mean 105? The current FF is 106.1; you could try updating, just in case that would help.

Indeed 105, now 106. But problem remains.
