What and How is Data Synced Using Firefox Account
I just want some clarification and maybe it will help me resolve my issue. How does Sync Work? If i indicate that i don't want my History synced does it mean Up or Down? how can i prevent both directions syncing? I have a "Home" pc whose browsing i don't want synced up and i have my work laptop that i don't want to ever see what i browse on my phone or personal laptop, my personal and phone can share as much as they want.

Hello,
I believe if you disable sync, neither up nor down will be enabled. When you first sign in, you may have sync until you disable it.
With sync, there is no master. All selected data is shared with all members of the sync.
If you disable a specific engine from Sync then this item is no longer part of sync.
You should use a separate Firefox Account for your work computer (or not use Sync if that is the only device) if you do not want data from the work computer appear on other devices.
Note that Sync isn't designed to be used as a backup, but is merely meant to sync data between connected devices. Best is always to backup your personal data locally.
I want some the passwords if i use a separate account can i share between the accounts. I also do discover some work stuff on my personal device so i send that url to the work device. the option to select what is shared what does that do, prevent data on this device syncing up or down the senario i want to avoid is typing on my work pc and it suggesting entries from my history.
When you use sync, and select (for example) bookmarks, all bookmarks are shared. You can not choose to share or not share any of the bookmarks. It's all or nothing.
