Can't Save Drafts in Thunderbird 78

Since the upgrade to Thunderbird 78 on Saturday I have had an error message while composing emails which reads "Save Draft Error Unable to save your message as a draft. Sending of the message failed".

When I try to save a draft, the same way that worked well before the upgrade it doesn't.

Just updating this request from 2 November. The problem is still there. My technical support services are saying it must be a bug in Thunderbird 78 so uninstalling and reinstalling would not necessarily solve this.

Has anyone else experienced this? And is there any support option to tackle this, or plans to update version 78 to eliminate this problem? It's three weeks since I posted this and it's time-consuming and frustrating to keep getting this error message so thanks for any guidance on solving this.
