Conversation View: filter by specific email addresses
I have mails to several different people with different content, but (exactly) the same Subject line. When I open one of these mails in conversation view I ... Actual behavior: ... see all mails sorted by date, but totally mixed up by receipient/content. Example (view with mono-font): |- Mail To: Me From: Mr. A |--- Mail To: Mr A From: Me |--- Mail To: Me From: Mr. A (indenation as in the Thunderbird) |----- Mail To: Mr. B From: Me |----- Mail To: Mr. C From: Me |-------- Mail To: Me From: Mr. C |-------- Mail To: Mr. C From: Me
( You can see, that three different conversation are shown )
Intended Behavior ...would expect to show the conversation only between me and that receipient. I don't want mails to other receipients (i.e. different conversations) to be shown here.
Is there a way of setting Thunderbird up that way?
Or is this maybe even a bug (Info: all recipients happen to be in the same top-level and second-level domain)?
Regards

Hm... didn't really help. But Using the filter mechanism within the Conversation view solved the problem for now.

Not sure exactly what you're aiming for, or how you're viewing 'conversations', but if I wanted to keep all threads with a particular sender separate from other senders, I would set View/Sort by/From & Grouped by sort, and then to see all sent and received messages for a particular thread, right-click a message, Open Message In Conversation.
