Latest Firefox for android, running android Q (Version 10, beta 4) Will not sync. The options for what to sync are greyed out, but the sync now button is responsive. Pressing the sync now button causes it to change to something else for less than a second (cannot read what its changing to) but does not trigger a sync.

I did not have firefox on my android phone before upgrading to the beta for version Q(10). I can confirm sync works across my laptops and iPhone. I've tried signing out, reinstalling, clearing app data and reinstalling (android backup will restore app data from previous install) clearing cache.

Of Note: In the Firefox accounts settings page, in the devices & apps section, the login for Firefox on android is listed as Web Session, Firefox Mobile 67, whereas my iPhone is listed as Firefox on <my> iPhone.

Also, after initial and re installs, when logging into my sync account, the first time I log in, I get a email to verify login, clicking the link takes me to the successfully logged in page, but when I go to sync settings (on firefox for android) I have an error message saying that login is still waiting on email verification, and clicking the resend email link takes me to the Firefox accounts settings page. No email is sent (or at least, not delivered). Signing out and then back in, does not require a email verification, and the error message goes away, but sync does not work.

I'm guessing this is something related to a change in Android Q, So I understand there may not be a fix until well after Q is officially out of beta.

You will need to use the 68 beta to use sync. https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=org.mozilla.firefox_beta

Thanks! Works now. Now I can officially move from Chrome completely :)

Hi, I'm experiencing the exact same problem, and the solution doesn't work for me. I tried using both Beta (currently installed is version 68.0b10) and Nightly, and both showed that behaviour - nothing was synced, I could not select items to sync, "Last Synced" always says "Never" and my phone is visible on device management. I am on LineageOS 16.0, Android Pie.
