How do I block the usr and pwd http basic auth dialog box that pop up on insecure http access sites, I've no need for it.
Those basic usr and pwd auth dialog box prompts of yore. I know that there still used sometimes for internal networks. But I have no need of that http basic auth mechanism and it only annoys me when I run into a Spam website that likes to spam me with that box. Now I'm a knowledgeable guy and have been using Firefox since it was before 1.0 and before that Mozilla and Netscape. So I know how to escape those nasty websites. I am a long time (20 years) of Linux user and I just bought my first Windows Laptop and I am having much trouble with these http auth boxes on Windows. On Linux they never popped up. Now on my new Windows 10 Pro they have started to come out at me everywhere.
This is not a request for help. I can handle getting out of those websites just fine by myself. My request is how do I permanently turn off the http auth dialog basic box mechanism. Is there some kind of custom JavaScript I can use in the Firefox dir? An about:config change? Any help is much appreciated. If I get a satisfactory answer I'll spread it far and wide and give credit where it's due.
P.S. My Laptop is secure, clean, and safe with nothing bad on it. I have no programing knowledge of any kind including C, JavaScript, HTML.
Thanks guys.

A simple direct answer to what you want with out saying much is You Do Not. Use Adblockers to block them. Use the Address Bar Info to disallow if permissions are there. Block them in Permissions in Options, Block their cookies in Options. Learn, as your asking for a oxymoron of operation of a browser in Windows .
Your using Windows 10, not Linux, please adjust to the complicated and extremely polluted life of running Win 10 without using proper tools :

Please note that this is a issue you are having and is not a general problem with other people using Firefox and they are not requesting something that can be taken care of with proper Security Programs, Ad blockers such as uBlock Origin and Ghostery and scanned with Malwarebytes.
I would suggest you do a scan as it seems your saying you have a quantity of these things and it sounds like they are not associated to the same website that your using.
As to getting out of these websites. You should not be in them if have proper protection and a real time malware scanner.
If these are associated to a URL click on the information circle at the left end of the Address Bar and see what permissions are being granted.
Again, this is not a usual occurrence and is not the experience other users are having so please do a malware scan as it is different than a virus scan.

You didn't answer my question. My question was [edited for clarity] "My request is how do I permanently turn off the http basic authentication dialog prompt box mechanism. Is there some kind of custom JavaScript I can use in the Firefox dir? An about:config change?". I am talking about the basic http authentication prompt dialog box. This dialog box appears most commonly with older or mis-configured Apache server setups, although modern Apache can still do this, it's considered bad form to leave this authentication method active. I only get this prompt about once a month. Coming from Linux, I never saw one in 20 years and once a month on Windows is a lot to me, maybe not to other people, but to me it is.
But that's all besides the point. My question was [edited for clarity] "My request is how do I permanently turn off the http basic authentication dialog prompt box mechanism. Is there some kind of custom JavaScript I can use in the Firefox dir? An about:config change?". I am talking about the basic http authentication prompt dialog box.
If someone would be kind enough to help me find a way to turn it off, I would be very happy to give you credit as that's the right thing to do.
P.S. Perhaps this dialog box has a different name and I am confused?
