For some unknown reason, I keep getting the Yahoo Answer Browser, which is not installed on my linux system.
Whenever I end up browsing online with Firefox, from time to time, Yahoo Answer crops up with no warning and is not even installed on my system nor is it an add-on, I am wondering if Yahoo Answer Browser is actually a virus interfering with peoples experience online and if it is being deliberately done by those who run Yahoo. As it has hampered me on many occasions with the research I am doing. Asking me to sign up for a network I quit over 10 Years ago of the problems it caused back then, its also why I switched to Mozilla Firefox, which is much more stable.
This is why I feel Yahoo Answer has become an internet virus, it is everywhere where you do not need it.

Hi,
Firefox is a browser - Yahoo is a search engine.
As you obviously do not want Yahoo to be your default search engine, you can change the setting here :

'Hope that works for you !

Which search engine have you set in "about:preferences#search" ?
Firefox 57 is my set preference. With Linuxmint/start/Sonya as the operating systems own preference. I have no other set. This is why I feel Yahoo Answer is a Virus trying to disrupt my system. As it is not set, plus it is also a browser that is blocked by this systems Blocker Program.
