After recent updates, FIrefox continues to open pop up windows despite the security option to deny it.
Windows open with 'surveys' or other nonsense (http://loginfaster.com/new?utm_source=propel&utm_campaign=783350&kid=5455292&placement=https%3A%2F%2Fmozilla.org%2F&ad=11359212). sometimes flashing asmany as 4 or 5 new windows, while yielding only 1 closeable option. Is this a virus? a quirk related to 57.0?

Is this a virus?
Let's find out.
You may have ad/mal-ware. Further information can be found in this article; https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/troubleshoot-firefox-issues-caused-malware?cache=no
Run most or all of the listed malware scanners. Each works differently. If one program misses something, another may pick it up.
Go to the Mozilla Add-ons Web Page {web Link} (There’s a lot of good stuff here) and search for a good ad / pop-up blocker.
Separate Security Issue: Update your Flash Player Note: Windows users should download the ActiveX for Internet Explorer. and the plugin for Plugin-based browsers (like Firefox).
Note: Windows 8 and Windows 10 have built-in flash players and Adobe will cause a conflict. Install the plugin only. Not the ActiveX.
Flash Player Version: Version 27.0.0.183
