Firefox crashes
I'm on a Mac Powerbook pro running 10.8.5. I had been using Firefox 35.1 and had several sessions and a lot of windows open. No surprise, it hung. Tried to restart, it hangs. Rebooted computer (several times now). No change. Uninstalled, reinstalled (35, 35.01 & 36.01), no change. Tried refresh FF, FF name appears top left, no other menu items, no app window, hangs. Tried starting in safe mode several times, the FF App window comes up with home browser, looks good for a few seconds but then hangs, can't use the menu items or do anything in those 10 seconds or so before it hangs. Ran Mackeeper. No change. Tried Firefox 36.01, no change. Tried Firefox 35.01 no change. Ran the above processes a few times, no change. Went to Library, Firefox, Crash reports submitted, last details listed below, although I have logged reports many times since this, which I think is from the first major crash and all this started. Any ideas?

How about disabling extensions, or trying a new profile? A reinstall might not necessarily remove older profiles to prevent data loss.
New profiles are a fast and easy way to tell: Profile Manager - Create, remove or switch Firefox profiles

For some time now, a lot of Mac’s with Microsoft programs have been crashing. Check with Microsoft / Mac support sites.
