FF is starting normally. But it does not search. "can't find the server" or "the server is taking too long to respond" or "can't establish a connection to the server". It only opens sites if i enter the right address and even than it does not open every site but some of them. I tried reset FF, tried reinstall FF but the problem is still there.

SearchReset {web link} This add-on is very simple: on installation, it backs up and then resets your search preferences and home page to their default values, and then uninstalls itself. This affects the search bar, URL bar searches, and the home page.

Does this only happen if you use the search bar on the Navigation Toolbar or also with searching via the about:home page or via the location bar?

Do a malware check with several malware scanning programs on the Windows computer. Please scan with all programs because each program detects different malware. All these programs have free versions.

Make sure that you update each program to get the latest version of their databases before doing a scan.

You can also do a check for a rootkit infection with TDSSKiller.
