Can't see newly created files when trying to attach
I just scanned some documents and went to email them as an attachment. When going to the folder containing the files to attach them you can't see them. I moved the file to another folder and they still don't show.- I even created another folder inside that folder and moved the files to it and that folder doesn't show up either. It seem anything new doesn't show since I got my new computer and transported my old profile to the new one. I tried troubleshoot mode and I removed my .msf files and neither helped.
Thank you, Karl

Can you view the files in Windows File Explorer?
Yes. They also show up if I am saving a file or document to the folder.
My guess is your open dialog is not set to show all files.
type *.* in the file name to attach box and click ok. This will show all files in the folder, but it will not close the dialog, or attach anything.
Thanks but nothing changed. I just noticed I can't see anything created after 9/21/22 and I see files that are no longer in the folder. It is like it is locked on all my folders and files as of 09/21/22.
Thanks
This is truly bizarre, Thunderbird does not "provide" the file window. The windows operating system does. It also populates it.
If you open windows notepad and use file open and the *.* to set it to all files is what you see any different to what Thunderbird shows.
I am suggesting notepad as it is a built in component of windows. Nothing to do with Thunderbird and nothing to do with any other software you have installed. Except perhaps antivirus as it is fairly ubiquitous if you have a third party product installed.
Is the file location on your local disk, or a network share of other more remote external location like a NAS
Note pad shows the files correctly. Yes the files are on the local disk C:. Nothing else I sue has this problem.
Thanks,
Karl
It is also showing older file in the folders that are no longer there but only when trying to attached a file. This does not happen during any other function like when saving an attachment.
