Firefox 77. Windows 10. Adblock Plus is the only Addon I have. Upgraded early Sunday morning and Firefox tabs started crashing. At first it was 2 or 3 times and only on Youtube. Today it is everywhere. I open a new tab, enter a URL and hit enter and the tab immediately crashes.

I've tried the standard options: Uninstall/reinstall, start in Safe Mode, update drivers, etc. No joy. All works fine in Edge and Chrome.

I really like Firefox and want to continue using it but can't while it is in its present condition.

We have recently seen multiple reports that Bitdefender is causing issues with tab crashes in Firefox 73.

It looks that Bitdefender has pushed an update to address this issue 21 Feb 2020

I use Defender, the MS default Firewall. Nothing more.

I've had no issues until June 22, after the latest update was pushed by Mozilla for Firefox and MS for Win10.
