Updated to thunderbird 60.2.1

I now have a problem with sorting emails in a folder. I have them sorted by date, threaded, a single thread is sorted using the newest date in the thread. Let's call this method right.

But, now thunderbird thinks it is wise to sort by date, threaded, a single thread is sorting using the oldest date in the thread. Let's call this method wrong.

Sort the folder by subject, then change sorting again by clicking on date. It is now sorting right.

Go to another folder, then go back to the folder we were. It is now again sorting wrong.

How can I fix this? Thank you

EDIT: This problem only seems to occur in saved search folders, since I updated to 60.2.1 (on Ubuntu 16.04)

This is getting really annoying. I am missing messages because of this bug that has been introduced in version 60.

Perhaps more annoying is that I have found a file of this bug https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1486843 which is two months old, but is still listed unconfirmed and unassigned.

Unfortunately, this doesn't look like a solution on short term. That is a pitty, because I have been very happy with thunderbird the last >5 years.
