How do I disable Sync email verification
Presumably after the last FF update the sync connection process has changed because when I connect to FF Sync each day, it now sends me an email with a link to verify my ID & email before I can connect.
It does this EVERY day and is getting annoying.
I clear my cache, cookies, history etc at the end of every day, so I'm wondering if that may be impacting on the process?
How can I permanently disable this 'feature' so I can get back to simply connecting to sync without this '2-step' process?
Thanks

Anyone from Mozilla care to comment on this?
What used to be a simple 1-step password login is now a multi-step pain-in-the-butt. No wonder more & more folks are switching away from FF - there seems to be a mission underway to turn it into bloatware and make it unusable!
<sigh> bring back the old days when FF was light, fast, and easy to use!
I wonder why you need to connect to Sync everyday? Sync is made to run automatically whenever Firefox is open; always logged into Sync.
Part of my daily shutdown routine is to clear my cache, cookies, history etc., so I suspect that this may be causing FF to demand a new login each day as any cookies set will be gone.
It's only been with the latest update that I have to deal with a very annoying requirement to reply to an email. I don't mind 2-step login for some services which need to be more secure but just to access my sync'd bookmarks is not one of them.
I'm all for security but at least give us the option to turn the darned thing off!
does anyone know if there is an about:config setting I can change or set to solve this problem? Thanks in advance
OK. After a LOT of digging around I finally found that the following changes may have fixed it:
1. type about:config in browser & accept the warning 2. Find and set the following preferences and values to their previous version (mine were set at v3 so I changed them to v2):
identity.fxaccounts.remote.signup.uri Set value to: "https://accounts.firefox.com/signup?service=sync&context=fx_desktop_v2"
identity.fxaccounts.remote.force_auth.uri Set value to: "https://accounts.firefox.com/force_auth?service=sync&context=fx_desktop_v2"
identity.fxaccounts.remote.signin.uri Set value to: "https://accounts.firefox.com/signin?service=sync&context=fx_desktop_v2"
identity.fxaccounts.settings.uri Set value to: "https://accounts.firefox.com/settings?service=sync&context=fx_desktop_v2"
3. Closed browser 4. Shutdown & restarted computer 5. Restarted Firefox and connected to sync
My conclusion from the above is that the latest version of Firefox has somehow introduced a bug into the sync account validation process.
If this hasn't fixed it, I may simply have to do away with FF sync and use an alternative solution and/or browser
Update - the above didn't fix the problem.
Looks like I may be spending more of my time on another browser
