Remove Firefox's plugin registry file Sometimes the pluginreg.dat file becomes corrupted. You can remove it and have Firefox re-scan for plugins. As a side effect, any plugins you have disabled on the Add-ons page probably will be re-enabled, so you'll need to go back to that page one more time.
Type about:support in the address bar and press enter.
Under the page logo on the left side you will see Application Basics. Under this find Profile Folder. To it’s right press the button Show Folder. This will open your file browser to the current Firefox profile. Now Close Firefox.
Locate the file. Then rename or delete it. Restart Firefox.
^^^ i did that.
i downloaded adobe again, it still says i have flash player 15.
i'm sorry you guys can stop replying to this if you want.
i changed my mind i still need help. i've done everything u guys suggested & nothing seems to be working.
i still have the shockwave 15.0.0.246.
i got adobe to download & its asking to run adobe flash & i always allow & remember it.
i wasn't able to uninstall flash all the way. it says i need admin permission to delete it. but i'm the only one who uses the computer.
the acceleration hardware is turned off.
i can play an episode for about 2 minutes then i get a green screen like this http://i.imgur.com/3JbJQ.jpg (youtube works fine. thats just an example of my problem) the link is fine, it just takes you to a youtube screenshot.
i tried reinstalling chrome, thinking flash plugins would be fine over there but they're not. i've tried safe mode, resetting firefox, private browsers & i'm still stuck.
the java update is available on my taskbar, should i update that or is Java not my problem.
an adobe update is really to install but i already did that.
Some added toolbar and anti-virus add-ons are known to cause Firefox issues. Disable All of them.
Some protection programs can lock browser settings. Check you programs to see if this is an issue.
Grab the uninstaller from here: Uninstall Flash Player | Windows Uninstall Flash Player | Mac Then reinstall the latest version.
Flash Player v16.0.0.235 https://www.adobe.com/products/flashplayer/distribution3.html
you (someone) already said to disable the toolbars which i already did.
i don't have any toolbars, add ons, or any unusually programs.
someone already said to use the uninstaller which i did days ago. & its not working. i already said this. i have adobe flash player but its still 15.
Okay, lets do this the hard way.
Type about:plugins<enter> in the address bar. Look for that program. When you find it, look at the Path to it. Open your file browser. Go thru the path to find the program. Once you find it, Close Firefox, then rename or delete the file. Reboot the computer. Then use the full installer.
when you say reboot the computer you mean going back to factory settings?? or just restarting.
Reboot means to re-start. Reset means Reset.
ok you lost me at open you file browser & everything after that.
if i reinstall a previous version of firefox will that do anything. like the last one before 34.0.5
ok this person had the same problem. I don't know what Ubuntu is tho.

From the about:plugins find the bad program. Once you find it, look for the path to the program. See picture; https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/1037520?page=2#answer-670218
Open your file browser. In its address bar, type the path as shown on your display to the program. The path ONLY. Then press Enter to open the folder. Look for the program. Once you find it, Close Firefox. Rename or delete the program.
After, turn the computer off. Wait for a bit, then restart the computer. Once the computer is ready, run the installer.
i have to be annoying by now. i'm annoying myself.
i don't know what Linux is.
flash64 still isn't deleting. i need permission. i tried enabling administrator account but it was denied.
i give up b/c i don't have the energy anymore. its been almost 2 weeks, still have the green screen. & i'm just gonna be behind on a lot of shows.
going back to factory settings seems unnecessary.
i see someone else has the problem & wished they would've commented to see what their issue is.
ok now i keep getting this message whenever i click on anything.
i'm on the verge of either screaming or crying.

Linux is a programing system, like Mac and Microsoft

I've called the big guys to help you. Good luck.
Thx. hope this gets fixed by the new year. Or i'm just gonna unplug everything & start new. Do you think its some type of virus?
Hi UserofFirefox2014, I understand that you have reinstalled Flash and you have version 15. However the latest version is 16. Please try these steps:
- From the start menu search for Flash uninstaller
- Run the uninstaller. If you need more detail go here: http://helpx.adobe.com/flash-player/k.../uninstall-flash-player-windows.html
- When done go here to download the latest version: http://www.adobe.com/special/message.html?get.adobe.com
- Before you do this make sure the version is 16.
- The installer will run through, but you will have to close Firefox for it to complete.
Restart Firefox by right clicking on the icon and clicking close to all the windows. Does this hep the choppiness of the videos?
thx guigs2 for the help, hope this works.
i know everyone is fed up with me by now especially Fred.
when i search i'm looking for uninstall_flash_player (adobe right, i have it twice BTW)?
Yes, you have two Shockwave Flash plugins:
- Shockwave Flash 15.0 r0
- Shockwave Flash 11.5 r502
See this about uninstalling Flash players:
