Retrieving SPAM filtered messages from Hotmail

more options

I've noticed that when I use the Hotmail Web Access that some of my Email is falling into the Hotmail SPAM filtered folder. I have to tell Hotmail Web Access that the email isn't SPAM. My Smartphone, using the Outlook APP, can open the SPAM folder, and allow me to select messages to be moved to the INBOX.

Thunderbird downloads the messages from the Hotmail INBOX but doesn't download mail in Hotmail's SPAM filtered folder. How do I retrieve messages in "ALL" of the Hotmail folders?

A POP account only connects to the mail server Inbox. You must have your phone configured as IMAP to get it to show other folders.

(mumble grumble...kicking myself....should'a known better)....

Didn't think about the email settings due to how I used to retrieve my email with a different desktop client (Pegasus) which accessed Hotmail via the HTML interface.

I just added another Hotmail account using IMAP, now waiting on all of the mail to download. Cleanup and Rule integration is next....oh boy!

Thanks for opening my eyes.
