One of the pages I regularly visit has made an interesting choice. Because all the visitors come from a known list, instead of offering a username field, a plain <select> element is used, together with a standard password field.

This means that Firefox's password manager only saves and autofills my password, meaning I have to select my name every time. That gets mildly annoying. Is there some way to add the value (either the text value or that of the value attribute) of this <select> to the username-password entry and have Firefox autofill it?

I can whip up an example website if my description isn't clear enough.

This is a non-standard login screen. You can try editing the login in Firefox Lockwise to add the username, but I doubt you will be able to get Firefox to automatically select the username for you.
