Suddenly I cannot get a connection to my Thunderbird account. Settings all seem correct. I tried to reset my account. To do that, I opened NEW under FILE, and then clicked on EXISTING ACCOUNT. I entered my Gmail address, and in password I entered my Google account password. TB responded with the message FAILED TO FIND A SETTING FOR YOUR ACCOUNT. Could this have something to do with the Mac KEYCHAIN? I was in that feature today fixing another app. before the problem with TB occurred. I had to reinstall another app. Please advise. Thank you.

I know nothing about macs, but given that the account setting are stored on the internet in the Thunderbird.net web domain it is clear Thunderbird is not getting access to the internet to retrieve it's account settings from the database.

So if keychain is something in a firewall you are probably looking in the right place. if it is not look at the firewall (that might be an internet security suite if you are unfortunate enough to have one. They just about cripple Windows)
