When migrating from MS EDGE (Flash embedded) to Firefox on a PC laptopis it necessary to download & install Adobe Flash Player to view live streaming?
My ASUS PC laptop was originally a Windows 8.1 OS, and I used latest IE version as my browser. I then upgraded to Win 10, and used MS Edge as my browser for last year or so. I know Adobe Flash Player is embedded or pre-installed in Win 10 or Edge. I am now migrating to Firefox. I was able to watch live streaming in MS Edge (sporting events on Canadian channels TSN and Sportsnet). The live streaming does not work / commence now that I am using Firefox. I had thought since Flash Player was already "installed" there was nothing further I needed to do to watch live streaming. Query - do I need to download and install a "fresh" version of Adobe Flash Player to work with Firefox even though there is a "working" Flash Player that continues to work with MS Edge?

Yes, Flash needs to be installed specifically for Firefox.
Other browsers use their own version of Flash, and with some it is embedded or the Flash plugin is supplied with the browser. NPAPI - Plugin for Firefox and other Gecko browsers, PPAPI for Chrome, Opera, Vivaldi, and Edge, ActiveX for Internet Explorer
Firefox needs the NAPAPI - Plugin version of Flash; which is proprietary software owned by Adobe - not open source as with Mozilla mission.

Make sure you deselect the Optional offers in the center of that page before clicking the Install Now button.

To add as you can see there are different versions of the Flash Player Plugin http://www.adobe.com/software/flash/about/

Thank you so very much. Clear, precise and answer was directly on point to my issue. And a prompt response as well. Problem solved. I am back viewing live streaming! This has been a much, much. MUCH better experience than Microsoft!
