How can I block yahoo or stop it from getting forwarded to yahoo when I am trying to download a Sktrim mod.
Thanks in advance,

Try with Adblock Addon
Hi Bakshara, the page has a missing image, probably due to a typo. Normally Firefox will just not show the image, but somehow you are getting completely redirected away from the page.
Three initial thoughts:
(1) This could be due to a "service" provided by your internet service provider that you might have encountered before if you entered a one-word search in the address bar.
If the results page does not have an option to out-out of this service, you may need to switch to using a different service provider for DNS lookups, one which will simply inform Firefox that a requested page/image is missing rather than sending a redirect.
(2) This could be due to an add-on or local proxy attempting to monetize the missing page error.
Did you test in Firefox's Safe Mode (mentioned in the other thread you posted in)? That's a standard diagnostic tool to deactivate extensions and some advanced features of Firefox. More info: Diagnose Firefox issues using Troubleshoot Mode.
You can restart Firefox in Safe Mode using either:
- "3-bar" menu button > "?" button > Restart with Add-ons Disabled
- Help menu > Restart with Add-ons Disabled
Not all add-ons are disabled: Flash and other plugins still run
After Firefox shuts down, a small dialog should appear. Click "Start in Safe Mode" (not Reset).
Any difference?
To check your connection setting:
"3-bar" menu button (or Tools menu) > Options > Advanced > Network mini-tab > "Settings" button
Try changing this to "No proxy"
(3) Possible malware listening in on your browsing. Our support article lists several tools for scanning/cleaning malware: Troubleshoot Firefox issues caused by malware.
" the page has a missing image," There was an image. I was my choice not to add it.
I have three ad-dons: 1) check spelling as I type. 2) check spelling and gamer before I send my emails out. 3) Detect fraudulent wed sites.
I have Firefox Nightly, Firefox 28, and Internet Explorer 11*1
"Did you test in Firefox's Safe Mode (mentioned in the other thread you posted in)? That's a standard diagnostic tool to deactivate extensions and some advanced features of Firefox. More info: Troubleshoot Firefox issues using Safe Mode." I might try safe mode.
- 1 I hate IE! I only have it because Microsoft considers Mozilla as competition. So I have to keep IE for windoze updates.
