What happens if you choose a download location first, does it then go there instead of the temp folder.

Hi johntrevor, please check Preferences>General> "Save downloaded files in" and choose the destination you prefer, or enable "Always ask me where to save files" so you can choose a different destination for each download

When I chose "Save" as download location, the file will be eventually in the chosen folder.

Preferences are already set to "Always ask me where to save files".

The problem is, that downloads start while the "Save to..." is open , in that time I browse folders, choose directory, before pressing Save !!

Thanks for your replies. Any suggestions ?

If you preselect a location, such as your Windows desktop, and deselect the option to always ask, then Firefox should save to your chosen location.

Ok John99 , that's going to be a way to control where files are really stored, from the very first moment. I'll take advantage of this when downloading big files, at least.

Thank you very much
