I already have the bookmarks bar un-checked under options, but it still automatically opens when I first start Firefox? Is there a way to stop this? Thank you.

Hey Copenhagen,

Are you talking about the Bookmarks toolbar? The one along the top of the screen? Does the checkmark come bock when you restart Firefox?

Either way, you should take a look at the How to fix preferences that won't save Knowledge Base article. It could be that Firefox is having trouble writing to the pref.js file.

If that doesn't work, you could also try Creating a new profile.

Hopefully this helps!

It looks like my preferences file was corrupt; the first link worked great. Thanks!
