Is there a way to suspend an active tab until I click inside the tab?

I've been trying to switch from Chrome, and Chrome has an extension which allows you to keep tabs suspended until you click within the tab itself. So even if the tab is open/in focus, it'll stay suspended. This is important because I Ctrl-Tab through lots of tabs and don't want to load a bunch of tabs every time I do that.

Is there a way to do this in Firefox? I've tried a few suspending add-ons (e.g. Auto Tab Discard), and none of them have this functionality.

Can you tell us the Chrome extension that does this? It could be they make one for Firefox but it would help others to know the extension name. Have you considered to Bookmark those tab as if you close Firefox but don't restart the session they will be lost as well.

The Chrome extension is Tiny Suspender, which unfortunately doesn't have a Firefox equivalent. I've tried a few alternative solutions like other suspension add-ons, bookmarks, or OneTab, but none of them work as well for my use case.

Is there a reason you don't bookmark them to return to that site? If you close Firefox or it crashes all your tabs will be gone and you won't know what sessions were running.

I just prefer browsing with more open tabs, if I bookmark tabs I'm much less likely to give them any attention. I use another extension/add-on to back up and restore my tabs in case of a crash.
