Chosen solution

I found that my cookies file was corrupted but luckily I had a good one from my other computer and it solved my problems. I always keep a backup of my files in the profile directory but in this case I backed up a bad file before I knew it. I'll be much more careful in the future. Always good to keep backup files so if I had to go to the refresh option I could load my backup files and all settings would be restored. I also backup my computers once a week with a program from macrium.com called reflect. 20 minutes to completely back up your hard drive and about 5 minutes to restore it in case of a virus or a hard drive crash. Well worth the money and the customer support is fantastic. I would mark this as solved but I can't find a solved button to click on. Just an area to add a new message.

Many site issues can be caused by corrupt cookies or cache.

If there is still a problem, Start Firefox in Safe Mode {web link} by holding down the <Shift> (Mac=Options) key, and then starting Firefox.

A small dialog should appear. Click Start In Safe Mode (not Refresh). Did this help?

While you are in safe mode;

Try disabling graphics hardware acceleration in Firefox. Since this feature was added to Firefox it has gradually improved but there are still a few glitches.
