Today I booted up my laptop with no issues at all and firefox seemingly isn't working correctly. Some webites such as reddit, runescape, news sites etc boot up in less than 2 seconds others well.. take 10-25 seconds to load and refuse to load the images on reddits preview as the sites themselves take ages to load as well. I'm not seeing any of these issues when I booted up Google Chrome and I have refreshed FireFox through the help menu.

Any ideas would be helpful

Big time web slow down for some people today with new ransomware out. Also a Windows 10 update yesterday.

Try this: https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/firefox-slow-how-make-it-faster

https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/upgrade-graphics-drivers-use-hardware-acceleration Also try disabling hardware-acceleration

Try to disable multi-process tabs in Firefox.

You can disable multi-process tabs in Firefox by setting the related prefs to false on the about:config page.

   browser.tabs.remote.autostart = false
   browser.tabs.remote.autostart.2 = false

https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/1154165 You can open the about:config page via the location/address bar. You can accept the warning and click "I'll be careful" to continue. http://kb.mozillazine.org/About:config

There is also a Extension called Fat-Free Fox that I can not advocate for or against.. Being on a laptop the above is interesting.

Please let us know if this solved your issue or if need further assistance.
