Whitesmoke took over my Firefox address bar. I can't get back the address bar without using the one by whitesmoke.

Whitesmoke is apparently a very nasty virus. I've followed as many instructions as possible and it's off my computer, but I can't get it off of Firefox. The address bar still shows the whitesmoke logo and I don't want to use it, but I need an address bar. I've run out of ideas. Please help.

Do a malware check with some malware scan programs. You need to scan with all programs because each program detects different malware. Make sure that you update each program to get the latest version of the database before doing a scan.
