Matt- Thank you for answering my question. They are not BCC addresses. In the "TO:" line the email address is not my address. It has an odd @ entry. For example: (my email) plus ". ... @aol.com". I do not have an aol account. Why does Thunderbird post an email that is not my address?

Probably not. if you address is in the BCC (blind carbon copy) list your provider will receive the email and deliver it to your account and Thunderbird will download it.
