I transferred an image of my old laptop (Mac) to my new one. Time Machine is really good at cloning (copies shortcuts, settings, even what you have in Trash, etc.). So all seems perfect.. except that I cannot save a copy of a message sent via Thunderbird.

I can see all up to date in the client (both Sent and Inbox), i.e. synched to what I have in gmail (which uses IMAP). If I send a new message using the web, the client picks it up just fine.

However, if I try to use the client to send a message, it reports having sent it but not being able to save it to the Sent Folder. And indeed, if I use TB to send, there is no trace of the sent message in either the web or the client. So basically, I can only get a copy if I use the web directly, and not Thunderbird. Any ideas? Thank you.

I was able to solve the problem. I would like to close the issue, but I don't know how.
