Yesterday Firefox crashed while I had several windows open, when I tried to restore the session it crashed again and it keeps crashing every time I try to attempt to use it (with or without restoring data). It works for about 10-15 seconds before it closes and gives me a Crash report.

I've tried to start up i Safe mode but it still crashes almost instantly and there are no new Java updates to download. I've tried to uninstall Firefox and then install it again, but got the same problems with the new version.

Try turning off javascript before leaving the restore page. (Options, Content, uncheck Enable Javascript)

If it works, you have the same problem I do. Unfortunately it hasn't been solved yet, so you're stuck without javascript until it is. https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/925317

Thanks for feedback, I managed to turn javascript off (inbetween crashes). But it still keeps crashing.

Try to do a clean installation (that means deleting the profile folder and maybe just for simplicity sake everything)

You can use a program (or addon like FEBE) to backup your extensions and bookmarks just in case.
