Can you tell me which box should I enable or disable to download into my computer emails that has already been opened online in my browser on gmail page. Now Thunderbird(the latest version) downloads only unopened emails. How to change that? I want to have emails on my local computer as well and not only online.

Are you using POP or IMAP?

Tools|Account Settings|Server Settings→Server Type
