I accidentally set a default to download and save all pdf files without asking me. How can I change it back to prompt me with open/save every time?

When clicking on a file, Firefox used to prompt to 'save file' or 'open with'. I accidentally set it always save the file and now every time I try to open a PDF or word file in my browser, it downloads the file. I cannot figure out how to change it back to prompt me to open with.

You can reset that by doing the following

  • Click the Firefox button > Options > Content > find Portable Document File (PDF) and click the dropbox box, set it to Always Ask

That's not an option under 'Content' for me. All there is are language and font options.

Oops. I mislead you.

It's Options > Applications > find Portable Document File (PDF) and click the dropbox box, set it to Always Ask';
