How do I get the tabs to refresh automatically when a session is restored?

I recently reset Firefox. I have it set so that my tabs are automatically restored when I open Firefox-which is what I want to happen. The problem I'm now having is that the tabs do not automatically refresh like they used to before I reset Firefox. I have to manually click the refresh button to get the updated pages. How do I set it so that the tabs automatically refresh when I open Firefox?

Try the following:

  1. Go to the Firefox options
  2. Open the Tabs tab
  3. Uncheck the Don't Load Tabs Until Selected option

Hello LM129, in about:config, find (or copy/paste from here) the browser.cache.check_doc_frequency and change the value to 1 (double-click on it, change the value to 1 and click OK), exit firefox and re-start it.

be sure you have :

browser.cache.disk.enable or browser.cache.memory.enable set to true also.

thank you

Thanks for your suggestions. I tried them both and neither fixed the problem. Any other ideas?
