Linux Firefox install html 5 video tags only playing when Firefox run as root user?

Installed Firefox 12.0 in CentOS 5.8 as root user. Any user can open FF but when visiting pages that have html5 video content only when FF is started as root is FF able to display the video ...otherwise you get the "No video with supported format and MIME type found."

Tried installing FF12.0 in users local directory as well still no luck.

So this doesn't work for you with the video tag?

Try to create a new profile as a test to check if your current profile is causing the problems.

If the new profile works then you can transfer some files from the old profile to that new profile, but be careful not to copy corrupted files.
