NOT MY POST!
All of us are saying the same thing in different ways. But I have not seen a single answer to the problem: How do we stop, disable, and or delete the plugin-container.exe? Answer that and we will all be some what satisfied
Sorry WatchUrOwnBack, for some reason firefox filled your name into the form. This post is mine:

You shouldn't have deleted it.
Please reinstall Firefox to restore it. No data will be lost.
If you're experiencing problems with the latest version of Firefox, please read this post. Hopefully it will help. If it doesn't, please tell me.
To downgrade to version 3.5, please see this article:

The people that are complaining about a separate process and then stating that they are going to Chrome are quite funny. I hope you know how Chrome handles tabs...
My only complaint is that I receive get an error that the plugin-container.exe is not responding and locks up my browser. Which is incredibly annoying. I prefer just to have my browser lockup, have firefox recover my tabs, like before. Now when it happens, I have to wait for Vista to decide what/why the plugin is not responding before I get impatient & I decide to end the process tree and hope my tabs are saved
To Matt Sawyers: "I prefer just to have my browser lockup, have firefox recover my tabs, like before."
You can do that. Disable plugin-container as outlined here:

This is so anoying. I can't watch a single video without firefox crashing. Fix this or lose me!
I agree with everyone's complaints. Mine is doing the same and as for keeping Mozilla from closing, the plug-in container.exe freezes it up completely and I have to use Task Manager to get out of it. Then it is about 30 seconds to a minute and i get a message re the plug-in container crashed and close it before I can even try to restart Firefox. What a pain! I switched from IE8 because the System Idle thread hogs about 97% of the CPU even when you are trying to perform an action and Microsoft claims there is no problem. Maybe not for those running a brand new Win 7 with a core processor. Anyone have experience with Chrome or have any fixes to these issues. Sign me FED UP. I have enough aggravations in my everyday life. I don't need added ones in my "virtual" world too!
Mozilla, If you want me to continue using your product, and not switch to IE, you need to make this plugin container.exe an optional addition.
My firefox has not crashed in 3 months. With this annoying addon my flash videos will literally stop playing and freeze my computer. When I'm playing a video in fullscreen, I have to ultra quickly right click close firefox on task menubar. Its getting bothersome.
I have less than 15 .exes on my computer, no spyware, no malware, and i plan on keeping it that way. I don't want you pugincontainer.exe running, so get it off, or I'm ditching you for IE or Opera.
Make it optional. PERIOD.
Same poster as above:
& Morbus, I used flash-block. I don't like getting overwhelm with flash ads. Make it compatible, make it optional, or I'm leaving, and you can sure bet a lot of others will too. You have 2 weeks. PCE and GOODDAY.
-I SAID GOODDAY SIR
to the person who anonymously wrote open up TaskMgr to see how much memory Firefox is using. I did that, FF is using 900MB-1GB of Virtual RAM. It pushes total usage up to 80-90% when Flash and other plug-ins load.
Please everyone, read this post if you have a problem. If it doesn't help, please tell me so we can work from then on.
I have had enough of all this frigging about Mr Firefox.... are you listening!
You keep telling us this new versions better when all the time it craps things out and leaves confusion (all because of Microsoft and their blasted DRM I'd say - am I right ?).
I've gone back to 3.5.6 build forget about all the security flaws - which I have never had to deal with in ANY BUILD not even the the Mozilla suite!
So if it ain't broke why meddle. There ARE other browsers out there you know - and they DO load a darn sight faster!!!!!
