I keep sending emails to people and they almost always go in to their spam folders. If they add my address to their contacts it solves the problem but for initial contact it fails.

I've run a test online and these are the results... unfortunately I don't understand them! Any help is much appreciated as I'm a freelancer and it's costing me work and making me look ignorant :-(

perhaps you might share the server you are sending from and the domain the email address belongs to. I assume they are not the same as the SPF record and the sender do not match.

That may be 100% of your issue. But without knowing the servers and domains I am really just guessing.

Note that SPF is a part of the domains DNS record and specifies the allowed sending hosts for the domain. Usually we see these sorts of issues on personal domains from the very bottom end of the price structure. Or those configured by someone that really does not know what is needed following a how to.

I also did a scan on Mail Tester...

We check if the server you are sending from is authenticated [SPF] Your server 74.220.194.128 is authorized to use sally@gabcreative.co.uk Your DKIM signature is valid You do not have a DMARC record Your server 74.220.194.128 is successfully associated with gateway7.unifiedlayer.com Your domain name gabcreative.co.uk is assigned to a mail server. Which is concerning because I've never emailed Walgreens or a building company in India?!

I think at this point most of my emails are just going in to everyones spam folders.

I suggest you talk to your hosting provider. You using a bargain basement host and undoubted you are using a shared mail server which is blacklisted. Possible every customer the host has is using the same outgoing mail server. But it is an issue for them to resolve.

but don't just take my word for it, read this https://ericasadun.com/2018/05/15/the-festering-realities-of-bluehost-in-which-i-learn-about-unifiedlayer-com/

Perform your own searches as the posting suggests and then contact your host or an explanation.
