How can I display more than 6 recently visited sites?
One of the things I liked about Firefox is the ability to select from about 20 recently visited sites, displayed as a grid of easily recognized graphic thumbnails, when I opened a new tab. By <Ctl -> I could shrink the thumbnails and display more recently visited pages.
Yesterday's patch has changed this facility to a single line of six thumbnails under the heading "Top Sites" and a bunch of distracting larger thumbnails under the titles of "Recommended By Pocket" and "Highlights".
This doesn't bother me, there's a settings gear wheel where I can turn off everything but "Search" and "Top Sites".
The problem is that I'm still only looking at 6 thumbnails of recently visited sites. I want to be able to select from a larger array of them.
How do I get the number of thumbnail references under "Top Sites" that I had two days ago?

hi, you may try this: enter about:config into the firefox address bar (confirm the info message in case it shows up) & search for the preference named browser.newtabpage.activity-stream.topSitesCount. double-click it and change its value to 18 and then restart firefox once.

Hello, you can increase the number of rows by going to about:config, and changing the number of the pref browser.newtabpage.activity-stream.topSitesCount to your desired number.

Works like a charm.
