I have a laptop which I use as a desktop, linked to an LG screen with screen split - effectively I can have three windows open at once. I use the Open Menu button a lot to restore my previous history for work. In the last couple of weeks, though, it's started minimising as soon as I click it - I get a brief flash of the whole box showing the icons, then it reverts to minimised and I have to use the tiny scroll button to get to History (see picture). It only happens on the laptop screen, though, it's fine on the LG screen. To the best of my knowledge I haven't changed anything, I can't see any add-ons, and although I have ad blockers, these have never been a problem before. I'm on Office 365 so everything is bang up to date.

Any clues, anyone, please? Speak slowly and clearly - I'm not great at computers!

Thanks

Start Firefox in Safe Mode {web link} by holding down the <Shift> (Mac=Options) key, and then starting Firefox.

A small dialog should appear. Click Start In Safe Mode (not Refresh). Is the problem still there?

Yes. (I need to type five characters, apparently, but 'yes' is all I need to say!)

https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/update-firefox-latest-version?cache=no Have you update Firefox to the latest version 55.0.3

Yup, it's already up to date. Damn, I was hoping that this would be a simple fix! Thanks for trying...

Did the problem start when you started using Firefox v55?

v55 has been giving users problems. Reinstall v54.

https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/install-older-version-of-firefox?cache=no Be sure to read everything here.

If you still want to downgrade, look under; I still want to downgrade. Click the Directory of other versions and languages link. Look for the directory of the version that you want. But, remember that old versions may have security issues.

Thank you, I'll give that a go, although I still think it's strange it does it on one screen but not the other.
