Recvd notice to download a patch from this website https://gaihicargiant.net/3641250115311/224902e99df5d5c3f3753bb87c293a47.html when I clicked on one of my emails. Is this a valid emergency patch? I have downloaded it, but have not yet executed it. Does this have anything to do with my frequent "Firefox is not responding" message?
Chosen solution
No that isn't valid. Mozilla doesn't "patch" Firefox, so it's easy to see that is a fake.
