After downgrading to Firefox 3.6 "Open New Tab" button and link don't work.
After I downgraded to Firefox 3.6 I can't open a new tab with either the "Open New Tab" button nor the link under File.

If you have both the Tab Mix Plus and Greasemonkey extensions then you should update them as the previous version of them conflicted with each other with this.

This issue can be caused by the Ask.com toolbar (Tools > Add-ons > Extensions)
Your system details show that toolbar in the user agent as AskTbOVO2/3.13.1.18107
