"Load comments" button on Youtube
Hello;
This is a recent problem that is driving me nuts. Youtube comments are not showing, unless I click the "load comments" button shown here, which then opens the comments in a new tab; http://imgur.com/ilopohV
I've tried disabling my addons, restarted it in safe mode and nothing has helped. I have tried in two other browsers, and I'm not experiencing this issue. Any ideas on this? It's rather frustrating.

Hello Cor-el.
Thank you for your reply. I have tried cache refresh, loading Firefox with and without addons enabled, clearing cookies and cache, have run in safe mode and I do not run Avast.
What actually worked, oddly enough was deleting the Youtube cookie; Tools>options>security>remove an individual cookie>highlighted Youtube.com and clicked removed cookies. Felt like the correct thing to do, so I thank you both for your replies.
This worked for me, hopefully this helps others. :)

Hello,
The Reset Firefox feature can fix many issues by restoring Firefox to its factory default state while saving your essential information.
Note: This will cause you to lose any Extensions and some Preferences.
- Open websites will not be saved in Firefox versions lower than 25.
To Reset Firefox do the following:
- Go to Firefox > Help > Troubleshooting Information.
- Click the "Reset Firefox" button.
- Firefox will close and reset. After Firefox is done, it will show a window with the information that is imported. Click Finish.
- Firefox will open with all factory defaults applied.
Further information can be found in the Refresh Firefox - reset add-ons and settings article.
Did this fix your problems? Please report back to us!
Thank you.
Ah, thanks for replying Mathew. I was avoiding doing that, not really an option I'm willing to choose though I suppose I could use FEBE to back it up..
I'd rather not go through the process of resetting Firefox. Any other ideas, specifically related to why there is now a "Load comments" button?
You can try these steps in case of issues with web pages:
You can reload web page(s) and bypass the cache to refresh possibly outdated or corrupted files.
- Hold down the Shift key and left-click the Reload button
- Press "Ctrl + F5" or press "Ctrl + Shift + R" (Windows,Linux)
- Press "Command + Shift + R" (Mac)
Clear the cache and cookies only from websites that cause problems.
"Clear the Cache":
- Firefox/Tools > Options > Advanced > Network > Cached Web Content: "Clear Now"
"Remove Cookies" from sites causing problems:
- Firefox/Tools > Options > Privacy > Cookies: "Show Cookies"
Also make sure that you aren't blocking cookies.
Start Firefox in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions (Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Appearance).
- Do NOT click the Reset button on the Safe Mode start window.
This issue can be caused by Avast software/extension, see:
