I'm wanting to update my thunderbird adsdress book on my travel computer which I haven't used for a year with new addresses that have accumulated on my main computer during this past year. or if need be replace the travel computer address book with my main computer's address book, whatever works. Have windows 7. IOW I am not migrating to a new computer, and I don't want to just replace everything on the travel computer with new files, just want the address book there. It is ok, if it is a separate address book from what is already there, though it may be good to delete the old address book.

I have saved my backup address books (LDIF files) to a document file on another computer.

I now want to want to add my backups to the existing address book on the other computer, how do I do that?

OK, I got all the old e-mails back, but I can't get the address book imported. They are stored in the file impab.mab. I copied the file to the new location, but when I open Thunderbird they are not there? Would renaming the file to abook.mab work?
